Gang Intervention -- Adult |
This workshop is designed to bring awareness to all interested parties involved with youth. It focuses on the present escalation of gang activity and involvement in the drug trade. It is important that the community become knowledgeable of the current situation and work in their communities to help stem the ongoing problem of gang recruitment.
The workshop deals with the gang mentality, recruitment, present myths, drug distribution and addiction. The workshop provides warning signs as to behaviours, dress codes (colors), and other indicators relevant to gang activity.
The workshops provide solutions and activities that can assist the community in reducing the numbers of young people joining gangs, assistance in helping those present gang members who want out, and a positive plan of action.
 Intervention and Prevention are the key factors in establishing immediate and long term goals to reduce gang activity in your community.
